Foxwhelp is back. An early season cider apple that has been grown in Herefordshire for 400 years. It is iconic; no apple is more recognisable instantly in the glass, through its strawberry-come-raspberry aroma or its lip-smacking acidity. 2020 was an off-year for Ross's trees. meaning they produced less apples than usual. But that smaller crop then got all the benefits of the enormous root system, all the sunshine from its huge canopy, all of that flavour concentrated in a fraction of the fruit we might normally expect. And the results speak for themselves. Foxwhelp at its very best.
