Tremlett's Bitter is arguably the best cider apple Devon has ever produced. Arising sometime in the late 19th century, Tremlett's is a supremely tannic apple that has a vivid rich, rosy red apple flavour in the mid palate. Ross have three much loved standard old trees on the farm and whilst they are now heavily biennial, when they do get a crop, the cider is fantastic. This cider fermented in an American oak cask for six months, after racking it was matured in a neutral container.
